Hydrogen Fork Lift Trucks
The economic case for hydrogen powered Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as fork-lift trucks (FLTs), is rapidly being established globally. Hydrogen fuelled FLTs require much shorter 'recharge’ times than battery equivalents but all the same benefits for indoor operations.
Hydrogen fuel cells maintain a constant power output with no decline over a shift, unlike lithium ion and lead acid batteries. Hydrogen powered material handling equipment will free up space in the warehouse as there is no requirement for a charging room. This leads to an increase in warehouse capacity and in turn means more £s per m2.
The Pioneer Solution
The Pioneer allows operators to refill hydrogen tanks safely, quickly and inexpensively. The Pioneer135 can refuel a typical class three MHE truck at least 450 times and the Pioneer145 achieves around 800 refuelling operations.
- Combined storage, distribution and dispensing solution
- Low cost - capital cost significantly lower than a fixed HRS
- Reliable - mobile nature enables units to back each other up,
resulting in a more reliable hydrogen refuelling network.
- Mobile - rapid deployment, no fixed utilities
- Easily scalable
