Set to begin trials this July, the Pioneer HRS began its journey to Germany from the UK last week. After arriving in Holland to undergo final commissioning checks, where testing of the Pioneer Hydrogen Refuelling Station’s controls logic were carried out at the BUSE Gas Solutions facility, alongside a review of its refuelling performance, the unit visited Hygear’s hydrogen facility in Arnhem where it was supplied with hydrogen.
Now fuelled for active service the Pioneer is ready to make its way over the boarder where two of NanoSUN’s accompanying engineering specialists will provide operations training to our partner Westfalen AG. The mobile Pioneer HRS will then be handed over to the Westfalen team to begin its full programme of vehicle demonstrations across Germany with the support of NanoSUN’s third party onsite technician support team TSG.
The mobile Pioneer HRS is a low-cost mobile hydrogen vehicle refuelling station. The unit uniquely combines the features of volume gas storage, gas transportation and end use vehicle dispensing in a single ISO container. Offering local distribution, the Pioneer presents a fundamental factor in building an effective hydrogen fuel infrastructure and facilitating hydrogen mobility across Europe and the UK.
The summer road show will see rapid deployment in a number of German cities refuelling a range of different hydrogen powered vehicles and will demonstrate the speed of deployment and flexibility possible with the mobile Pioneer system.
We’ve got many stops to make and exciting plans coming up so watch this space as we update you on the Pioneer’s journey.
